Rumors regarding the involvement of an always online requirement being implemented into Microsoft’s next generation system, the Xbox 720, have been circulating around the interwebs for quite some time. Although Microsoft has declined to comment on this situation, a Xbox 720 developer has now released a statement about this always online requirement for the Xbox 720.
As reported by GameChup yesterday, a Xbox 720 developer has posted on an Internet forum stating the following: “Given that legally I cannot confirm or deny if this information is true, nor can I comment on rumor or speculation, all I can say is be sure to pay your ISP bills.”
Further investigation has revealed that this he is a Senior Designer at The Workshop Entertainment. Microsoft has been rumored to be revealing the Xbox 720 later on at an event set sometime during this month. Hopefully, we will receive official word on this subject matter.
