With production on the “Divergent” film adaptation now fully underway in Chicago, Illinois, several of the movie’s cast members have made way up to the Windy City to begin their portions of shooting for the Neil Burger-led cinematic take on Veronica Roth’s riveting bestseller.
Thanks to the magic of Twitter, “Divergent” fans have been able to follow some of the goings-on – like the fact that Roth paid a little visit to the set last week – from a distance.

Not only have the castmates been having a good time teasing their new “Divergent” fanbase with things like book-reading selfies and shots of the dressing room, but they’ve also been taking in the great city sights!

Note: At least one of these spots will be recognizable indeed to “Divergent” fans familiar with the prominent book locales.

Just before production officially began on the “Divergent” movie adaptation, actor Miles Teller (Peter from the Dauntless faction in the movie) teamed up with Christian Madsen (Al in “Divergent”) to check out one rockin’ musical performance in Chi-town!
The two hit United Center to see Bob Seger & the Silver Bullet Band on Saturday, April 6 and got some matching t-shirts to show for it! Talk about a fun cast bonding experience!

“Divergent” author Veronica Roth herself paid a visit to the film set – she happens to live in or near the city, so it surely won’t be the last time – and this gave some of the cast some vital access to the lady who created it all!
