The new Angry Birds Space Encounter opened on March 22 at Kennedy Space Center, bringing six fun activities to the Space Coast. Click the video toward the end of this article to see them for yourself.
Admission to the Angry Birds Space Encounter is included with a regular Visitor Complex ticket. You’ll find the following things to do in the 4,485 square foot facility:
Create Your Own Angry Bird: Select from different bodies and accessories to make your very own Angry Bird character in red, green, blue, or purple. Once it’s done, print it out and take it home as a unique keepsake.
Eggsteroids Slingshot: Man a slingshot and take aim at King Pig and Corporal Pig in a competition with your fellow guests. You’ll hurl mini Angry Birds in your slingshot to zap the pigs.
Cold Cuts Tile Puzzle: Can you solve the sliding puzzles? Line up a universe of planets, along with images of Super Red, Ice Bird, The Incredible Terence, and Space King, Pig in a Bubble as you challenge three different levels.
Red Planet Lazer Challenge: Help the Angry Birds find their golden eggs on the surface of the Red Planet.
Angry Birds Game Zone: Play the actual Angry Birds in Space game and challenge fellow guests. Can you master the levels and uncover helpful hints that help you zap the pigs?
Danger Zone: Navigate a tricky mirrored labyrinth to find hidden Angry Birds. Beware of the lazer beams that complicate your mission.
There’s a gift shop at the end of the Danger Zone, with t-shirts, toys, candy, and many other fun items. See it in a slideshow in this article. If you missed the grand opening, jump back to this article.
If you’ve never been to Kennedy Space Center, it’s only about an hour east of Walt Disney World.
