Legislative moves by the gun-grabbers to limit magazine capacity, as has been done in the past in states like California and New York, and more recently, post-Newtown, in Connecticut and Colorado, with further limitations imposed in New York, and as has been proposed nationally by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, have been accompanied with demonization of the ammunition feeding devices as weapons of war, and contemptuous dismissal of their utility in civilian hands.
It’s further accompanied by angry attacks against those who promote the utility of such devices, blaming them for the actions of those who abuse firearms, and painting anyone who wants or owns one as a blood-on-their-hands seething powder keg ready to be the next Adam Lanza.
“What do you need that many bullets for?” is the typical line the antis use to scoff at those who argue their right to possess such magazines and the firearms that use them.
Forgetting for a moment the Founders’ intent as articulated in the Second Amendment and Article. I. Section. 8. of the Constitution, which clearly shows anything less than arms of military utility to be incompatible with that intent, a film company from Westlake Village, Calif., has produced a must-see video that demonstrates the real world dangers in something most people can readily identify with — protecting our families and homes from violent predatory sociopaths.
MB Studio Productions’ “High Capacity Magazine PSA” provides a chilling unfolding of events in just over two minutes that demonstrates the “need” in a powerful and compelling drama. Everything about it, from the production values, to the writing, to the performances, is top notch, and this is something that gun rights advocates need to help make go viral.
It should also really drive home the insufferable and inexcusable arrogance of politicians, many who enjoy taxpayer-funded armed bodyguards who aren’t required to observe such restrictions with the firepower they deploy with. Such guns are evidently only classified by the government as “weapons of war” when they’re in the hands of “We the People.” Give them to the “Only Ones,” and they magically transmute into “personal defense weapons.”
“The way we are going to make meaningful change is by counteracting fear with facts,” the group says on its website. “By showing real people making real choices in real life, we can overcome the myths and misinformation that plague the debate over our right to be armed.
“We are appealing to fellow gun rights supporters for help in getting ‘Shoot To Thrill’ to the television,” they explain. “With your help, we can make this important show happen and get it to a mainstream channel. We don’t need to convince gun owners that our rights are essential. The goal for ‘Shoot to Thrill’ is to win over a whole nation by demonstrating the benefits of being responsibly armed. “
