Tracy Solheim is a hardworking and highly creative Atlanta mother of two who is set to realize her writing dreams. The first book in her series of three new romance books is set to launch nationwide next week. On April 29, she sat down with tapeunit.com to talk about the release of “Game On,” plus her two other novels in the same series. If you’re looking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift, “Game On” is just the ticket to literary escape.
Author Tracy Solheim is the busy mother of two children. In between endless carpools, she has somehow managed to craft an exciting first novel that’s already generating excellent reviews. “Game On” is a contemporary romance novel that also appeals to sports fans. It centers on main character, Shane Devlin, who has a reputation for fast moves on the football field and even faster moves off of it. He finally meets his match in Carly March, a business-minded beauty who finds it hard to play by her own rules when she meets the devilishly handsome football jock.
Rhapsody Book Club reviewed “Game On” and said last week, “Tracy Solheim’s debut puts her in running for romance novelist rookie of the year.” Publisher’s Weekly stated, “A winning romantic thriller…empathetic characters and heartbreakingly plausible scenarios…with a heart-pounding finale.” Romantic Times Magazine added, “Solid storytelling, sharp dialogue and genuine, sympathetic characters…an enjoyable and very entertaining read.”
Tracy Solheim has written her share of best sellers and note-worthy books. Unfortunately most of them line the shelves of dusty government offices around the world never to see the light of day. She hopes to change that with the debut of the first in a series of contemporary romantic fiction novels published by Berkley Books.
“I guess you could say I’m a frustrated sports writer at heart, but I love writing and reading books centered around sports. I can thank my dad for that. He introduced me to Dick Francis novels when I was a teenager and I was hooked,” Ms. Solheim said. “I’m also a big fan of the happily ever after endings of romance novels, so it was only natural that I combined the two elements in my fiction debut.”
“Game On” releases nationwide on May 7, but it’s just the first in an on-going series of three books. “Foolish Games” releases Dec. 3, 2013, to be followed by “Wicked Game” in May 2014. To pre-order “Game On” by Atlanta mom Tracy Solheim, head to Amazon.com. It would make a great Mother’s Day gift!
