“The Walking Dead” season 3 finale is tonight and Laurie Holden, who plays Andrea, claims there will be more death, besides the walking dead that is. After last week’s brother Dixon against brother Dixon who turned walker, the writers proved they know how to tug on the heart strings. According to E News on March 31, 2013, a recent interview with Holden and David Morrissey, who plays the Governor, suggests that a few more man characters will bite the dust in tonight’s finale.
What does Andrea’s fate hold? While Holden can’t give anything away she can say that her character is a fighter and that Andrea ” not ever going to be a victim.” This could mean she gets away from the torture room that the Governor has her locked up in or she takes her own life so as not to give the Governor the satisfaction. Tonight’s episode will show the aftermath of Merle’s death on his brother Daryl, maybe he will realize it’s good to love and be loved because time is short and finally bed down Carol.
What the previews show is Rick and the prison dwellers getting ready to vacate the prison because they know the Governor’s army will overpower them. It is better to run than to lose anymore folks in the group. Now that Glen and Maggie are planning to marry, with Hershel’s blessing, will one of these love-struck young folks lose their lives on tonight’s episode, “Welcome to the Tombs.”
Many of the cast and the production staff have said in interviews lately that all tonight’s finale will bring massive surprises. They’ve called it a “jaw-dropping” conclusion to the season and they’ve also said that a lot of loose ends will come together, making sense out of some of the things viewers have seen in the past.
What about Rick’s Lori, is she a ghost and will she return in tonight’s episode? She tends to show up when trouble is brewing and that is what tonight’s episode is all about, big trouble for Rick’s little group. After seeing Merle as a walker last week, you have to wonder if another main player will also turn into a zombie. The only clue that Comcast Xfinity’s menu gives about “The Walking Dead” season 3 finale tonight is that Rick and the others need to determine if the prison is worth defending against the Governor and his henchman.
The season 3 finale starts at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
