There’s no doubt about it, home break-ins are a sad reality for residents in Burlington, ON and right across the Halton region. People work hard to pay their rent and mortgages, and value their belongings. For someone who is a victim of a home break-in the news is beyond unsettling and deeply troubling.
While the Halton Regional Police Department and a number of community groups continually work together in order to thwart off this sort of crime, a popular luxury home theatre and home integration business in Burlington is playing its part in helping bring safety awareness in to our neighbourhoods.
You see, H2 Systems Inc is now holding a unique contest on its Facebook Fan Page (www.facebook.com/H2SystemsInc), and it’s a contest that will no doubt garner all kinds of attention.
From May 1 to May 31, 2013, H2 Systems Inc. is asking residents in Burlington and across Halton to submit their personal stories on how their homes were broken into and how they would have done things differently to avoid being the victim of a home break-in. The most intriguing and interesting story will win the grand prize. The prize is a high-end high performance day/night HD dome camera valued at $500.00. The winner will be announced on Friday, June 7, 2013 (12:00 Noon).
“One thing about H2 Systems Inc. is that we are very forward thinking when it comes to raising awareness on causes that are important to our community,” says Clinton Howell, founder and owner of the company that has been in business for nearly 20 years.
“In this case, we want to raise awareness of how home break-ins are becoming a problem and simply put we want to do our part to put an end to it all.”
According to police statistics, home break-ins are clearly on the rise and many occur during the spring and summer months. As well, vehicle break-ins and thefts are also a new, harsh reality for residents.
“We want to get people talking and get everyone involved to thwart off this sort of crime,” adds Howell. “People value their properties and home break-ins should become something of the past. This contest will get all sorts of people talking which means it only makes it harder for the crooks to win.”
While H2 Systems Inc. offers an array of top-notch services in home theatre solutions, they also offer a variety of security cameras/systems (dome style, vandal resident, infrared, night viewing, hidden cameras) which can be viewed on an iPhone, iPad, home computer and can be easily accessed even when you are away with the click of a button or mouse. High tech cameras can help thwart off home break-ins as well as vehicle break-ins.
H2, which specializes in Home Theatre and Home Integration, is the next generation in the home theatre and home integration. H2 Systems Inc. has won four CEDIA Electronic Lifestyle Awards in its past three years of operation; two in 2010 and two in 2011. The company is now a household name in Burlington, across Halton and the Greater Toronto Area.
