Tonight’s episode of Teen Mom 2 opened with Leah and Jeremy out to dinner, discussing the recent developments with Ali and her upcoming appointments. Leah worried that Aleeah would feel she wasn’t getting as much attention as Ali with everything going on and didn’t want her to feel that way or act out as a result.
Kailyn booked an appointment to get married to Javi at the courthouse, and Javi told Kailyn there was a chance he could leave the next week. After a lengthy two-day engagement, Javi and Kailyn planned to get married the next day at 1:30. When the time came, they picked up Javi’s mother and met his friend at the courthouse in order to have witnesses for the event.
Chelsea talked to a friend about going back to school and worried she had forgotten everything. Her friend told her she would be fine, so they talked about how Chelsea was done with Adam and hadn’t talked to him at all instead.
Barbara and Mike barged into Jenelle and Kieffer’s house the previous day to confront them about their drug use, so Jenelle was very upset with them. Back at their house, Barbara and Mike discussed what happened – they found heroin and a syringe this time around. Barbara couldn’t comprehend how Jenelle could get herself so deep into drugs and blamed everything on Kieffer. Barbara said she was going to try to get Jenelle committed to the psychiatric hospital in order to save Jenelle’s life, even if it meant she would be mad at her the rest of her life. Meanwhile, Jenelle and Kieffer tried to figure out what laws Barbara and Mike broke during their intrusion. Kieffer pushed the idea of pressing charges to make themselves feel they hadn’t done anything wrong. (After all, Jenelle cried about it that morning for 30 minutes). Jenelle didn’t think she would get to see Jace for a while.
Leah, Jeremy, Dawn, and Ali drove to Ohio for Ali’s appointments. In the morning, Corey and his dad met up with the others, and Leah and Corey went into the appointment with Ali. They determined it was nerve and muscle issues, and Ali would walk, but the way she wanted to. Then, they had Ali and Aleeah talk on the phone, and they told each other they missed and loved each other. (How precious). The next day, the doctor told Leah and Corey there was evidence of a muscle disorder, which would require a muscle biopsy.
The always responsible Chelsea stayed up too late the night before and woke up late for her big return to beauty school the next morning. Then, since she knew her dad would be disappointed, she had Aubree call to tell him she hadn’t gone to school. When Aubree didn’t say all the lines she gave her, she got on the phone and told her dad, who was not happy and swore. She told him she had a productive leave and would go back the next day instead.
Kailyn and Javi celebrated their marriage with a night out that included dinner and cupcakes. The next day, Kailyn went out to eat with Jo to tell him the wedding news. She mentioned that they needed to reschedule their appointment before telling Jo that she and Javi went to the courthouse and got married. Jo congratulated her and asked the reason for the rush – Kailyn logically explained they would get health insurance and Javi would get a pay increase. She added they could go with Javi if he gets stationed somewhere, and time wouldn’t make a difference, so there was no reason to wait.
Barbara headed down to the Sheriff’s Detention Center to speak with the magistrate about the developments with Jenelle. She called Mike and told him they didn’t give her any problems, and they would pick Jenelle up to take her to the doctor and get tested.
Chelsea went to bed early and got up early to be on time for school. Aubree was not as excited to wake up and ran back into Chelsea’s room, locked the door, and went back to sleep. Chelsea couldn’t get in, so she called a friend, who suggested she try a credit card, which didn’t work. She called her dad, who suggested a bobby pin and a screw driver, and the latter of the two finally worked.
Jenelle was furious with her mother after leaving the hospital. Kieffer was waiting for her outside, and they went back home. Kieffer again brought up pressing charges, but Jenelle said she would stand by her family. Jenelle re-hashed her sob story from the hospital, in which she had to strip down to her bra and underwear and couldn’t have her cell phone for three whole hours while they ran tests, but she did have her own television in the room.
Over lunch, Leah gave everyone the shortened version of what the doctor said about Ali’s condition and told them she needed a muscle biopsy.
On the way to school, Chelsea asked Aubree why she locked her out of her room. “I was sleepy,” Aubree told her. (Logical explanation). Chelsea then called the school’s director to tell her about her crazy morning and to let her know she was on her way. Once she got to school, Chelsea said hello to everyone, got her stuff set up, and got right to work.
Javi told Kailyn he was going to be leaving in a couple of days and would be gone for five months, which she wasn’t happy about. Once he was done with that, he would get stationed somewhere, so Kailyn said she would need to start filing paperwork as soon as they found out where. She listed off all the birthdays and holidays Javi would miss, but it would only be for one year. At the end of the weekend, Jo brought Isaac back home, and Javi put him to bed before crying (like a girl) into Kailyn’s shoulder. Kailyn, on the other hand, didn’t shed a tear and said she would be crying her eyes out the next day.
Jenelle and Kieffer hopped in the car and headed off to the magistrate to file charges against Barbara and Mike. Jenelle waited in the car while Kieffer went inside. They each got trespassing, and Mike also got an assault charge. Back at Mike and Barbara’s house, the two of them discussed their charges. The sheriff actually burst out laughing when Barbara told him that Kieffer filed the charges, and his name wasn’t even on the lease for Jenelle’s apartment. Barbara didn’t understand how Jenelle could keep doing that to her and decided she had to walk away at this point. She cried as she came to the realization she had lost Jenelle.
Ali had to be sedated for her muscle biopsy, and Corey cried as they waited. (What is with these guys?) Only one person was able to go into the operating room, so Leah suited up and went in. After the operation, the whole family gathered and helped Ali get dressed as she started to come to.
Chelsea’s dad stopped over, so she filled him in on her first day back at school. They talked about the promise ring Adam gave her a year ago and how she could never see herself with him again. (That’s probably for the best, since he knocked up his current girlfriend).
In their cloud of drugs, Kieffer and Jenelle chased around the house to find his missing Xanax. The two of them decided they would be together forever this time around, since they had only gotten in meaningless, petty fights over the last two months.
Kailyn and Isaac dropped Javi off, and Kailyn and Javi were both sobbing and in tears as they said good-bye. Poor Isaac didn’t understand what was going on and gave Javi a toy to keep by his bed.
