News of Tim Tebow and the New York Jets’ dismissal April 29, 2013 was a hot topic, but perhaps an even hotter topic would be the less publicized offer he received the same day he lost his position on the Jets. The offer to join the Legends Football League (LFL formerly known as the Lingerie Football League). The league has been undergoing some re-imaging as of late, including the name change and the elimination of the revealing outfits they were infamously known for. And now, according to Yahoo! Sports April 29, 2013 they have extended an offer to Tebow.
If visions of Tebow running around in sexy outfits on the football field is what you are imaging you will have to let that image go because according to the report he was extended an offer to become a coach for the all-women football league. A portion of the letter extending an offer to Tebow from Mitchell Mortaza (the League President) is below.
“Now that it appears Mr. Tim Tebow’s career in the NFL may be coming to an end, we at Legends Football League LLC. would like to extend him an offer to become our Quarterbacks Coach nationally.”
These two would make interesting bedfellows (please pardon the pun). Experts are guessing this will not be the first offer to come Tebow’s way. There is no news on whether or not the offer is being considered or will be accepted. But the offer has been made.
What are your thoughts on this idea? It certainately would be a great move for the LFL and their re-branding efforts to bring someone like Tebow into the fold. Feel free to shout out below.
