Each year, more than 200,000 people are victims of sexual assault – that’s about one person every two minutes. These numbers only reflect the assaults that are actually reported to authorities. Unfortunately, more than 50 percent of assaults go unreported (www.rainn.org).
Many of us know someone who has been a victim of sexual violence. April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month – help bring further awareness to crime of crime sexual violence by participating in the 2013 National Sexual Assault Awareness campaign.
