Newly renovated in 2011, Radiance of the Seas is part of Royal Caribbean’s Radiance Class of ships, which provide passengers with many spacious viewpoints from inside and outside of the ship. Radiance of the Seas cruises embark from the departure ports of Vancouver, BC; Perth and Sydney, Australia; Seward, Alaska; and Honolulu, Hawaii. Cruise destinations for this ship include Australia, New Zealand, Hawaii, Alaska and British Columbia, Canada.
On-Board Amenities and Activities
Royal Caribbean’s Radiance-class ships were designed with floor-to-ceiling windows that allow natural light to shine into the ship from every angle imaginable. Radiance of the Seas is equipped with numerous outdoor balconies, several open indoor spaces where passengers can enjoy both sunlight and moonlight and elevators with glass doors that look out over the ocean. The ship features three pools, including an adults-only pool area called the Solarium that is adorned with tropical plants and trees. Movie fans will enjoy one of the ship’s newest features — a 220-foot outdoor movie screen that sits poolside and shows newly released films several times a week. For sports and fitness enthusiasts, Radiance of the Seas has a full-scale fitness center, a rock-climbing wall, a jogging track, a miniature golf course and a basketball court. Nightlife options are abundant as well, with the more than 6,000-square-foot Vegas-style casino, complimentary Broadway-style shows in the ship’s main theater and more than a dozen bars and night clubs for adults to drink, party and dance the night away.
At the time of publication, Radiance of the Seas offers seven new dining options including the complimentary Windjammer Cafe, Park Cafe and Boardwalk Dog House. New specialty dining experiences available for a charge, include the Brazilian steakhouse Samba Grill, Mexican cuisine at Rita’s Cantina, Italian fare at Giovanni’s Table and Asian infused sushi and cuisine at Izumi. Available dining package options include Radiance Dining for $75 per person that includes meals at the ship’s two steakhouses, and the Italian and Asian restaurants. The Chef’s Dining Package provides passengers with a gourmet, five-course meal and wine pairing at the Chef’s Table, as well as meals at specialty restaurants. Complimentary dining is available to all passengers in the main dining room, for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
