Tomorrow afternoon is the Cincinnati Red’s Opening Day. The field is ready and the starting roster is set. Former Yankees skipper Joe Torres will throw out the game’s first pitch around 4:10p.m.
The Reds will feature ace pitcher Johnny Cueto.
Last season, Cueto won 19 games.
The Reds first game will be an interleague game against the Angels, who will oppose the Reds with starter Jered Weaver.
Last season, Weaver finished the season with a 20-5 record. He is also considered one of the best pitchers in baseball.
It will be Cueto’s first career start against the Angels and Weaver’s against the Reds. The Angels have some big bats in their lineup, which include former Red Josh Hamilton, Albert Pujols and Mike Trout. The Reds have stars Joey Votto, Brandon Phillips and Aroldis Chapman.
The Reds will try to rebound after losing in last year’s playoffs to the San Francisco Giants.
The 94th Findlay Market Opening Day parade starts at noon and former Red George Foster is this year’s grand marshall.
