Step right up, come one, come all. See the amazing, the remarkable, the death defying ‘One life to Live’ and ‘All My Children’ today. Yes that is right, death defying, These are two soaps that have risen from the dead like the ‘Phoenix’ and risen triumphantly!
This morning I opened my laptop and in 30 seconds I was seeing the wonderfully beautiful smile of a much missed friend. Double doors opened and there she was the ‘Queen’ Victoria of daytime, now “anytime” Erika Slezak back in her radiant glory, hen Jerry Ver Dorn, Clint Buchanan and my world was right again. Dorian Lord the wonderful Robin Strasser and the hysterically amazing Tuc Watkins as her ego maniac husband David Buchanan and the smile grew bigger and bigger. The fact that Dorian is in trouble and Viki is plastering it over the front of her newspaper is so right!
There they were in glorious color standing in their living rooms, in my bedroom and the picture was brilliant, the flow seamless.Tea(Florenzia Lozano) still mourning her dead baby and Dani(Kelly Missal) mourning the loss of her mother’s attention was chilling. Bo, the marvelous Robert S Woods screaming at Matthew(Robert Gory) over the ‘oxy’ he found in Matthew’s room, screaming like you never heard Bo scream was frightening and real as the wondrous Hillary B Smith’s, Nora looked on in shock.
Viki’s new reporter Jeffrey King showed up in the form of Corbin Bleu, intriquing. Then the pulsing beat of music filled the air and there they were the young and beautiful, dancing and writhing in the new night club, not Capricorn anymore, but ‘Shelter’ and the beautiful Kassie DePaiva’s character Blair’s new club.
Tall, sexy grown up Destiny Evans arrives while something dark is going down on the streets of Llanview. Melissa Archer looking gorgeous as Natalie Buchanan dancing with Cutter (Josh Kelly) were hot together. Todd Manning, the phenomenal Roger Howarth, such a welcome sight back in Llanview tells his limo driver to take him to Capricorn. He is told it is called ‘Shelter’ now and Todd invariably tells him okay then give me Shelter. It is good to see Todd home where he belongs.
The young people, now old enough to drink are beautiful and angst ridden and will bring OLTL many new young fans. I am not young, but I am a fan already. When the young man Blair is talking to is not “into Cougars” we know Blair is going to do something wild….
There is much more in this 28 minute tour de force and I will not ruin the big surprise ending, so it is up to you to tune in and see for yourself. Everyone who loves soaps should support this new and exciting jump into the future of soap telling. It could be your soap that will need it next and we should all be there for all of the soaps. Believe me you will be more than happy that you did.
Prospect Park, One Life To Live actors and crew, welcome back and thank you for hitting it out of the park. You are all AMAZING!
