Ladies – grab a few of your best girlfriends and dance on down the streets of Atlanta for a musically memorable and terrifically theatrical adventure as Broadway’s musical-comedy smash hit – Sister Act – takes the stage at the fabulous Fox Theatre from Tuesday, April 23 through Sunday, April 28. Touted by the New York Post as “Ridiculously Fun,” Sister Act features a toe-tapping original musical score penned by 8-time Oscar winner Alan Menken of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid-fame. At the heart of the story, lounge singer and would-be diva Deloris Van Cartier witnesses a murder and takes refuge in a convent called The Holy Order of the Little Sisters of Our Mother of Perpetual Faith. The two worlds collide for a comedy of pious proportions that pays homage to the undeniable power of friendship.
Sister Act is a terrific excuse for a much-needed “soul sister” staycation. With a number of world-class restaurants and luxury hotels within walking distance, a group of girls can make a unforgettable night of it. Fox Theatre hotel partner, The Georgian Terrace Hotel houses the Livingston Restaurant + Bar – voted #1 Best New Restaurant by Jezebel Magazine. Special dining and accommodation rates are available to Fox Theatre goers on the night of the show. Other excellent hotel and dining options near the theater include Hotel Indigo Atlanta Midtown, Melia Hotel Atlanta, Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center, Publik Draft House, Broadway Diner, and Mary Mac’s Tea Room, among others.
