Good news, Oncers. Hook is back! At the end of “Lacey,” we discovered Hook bound, gagged and held captive by scheming Tamara and Greg. Thanks to ABC’s press release, we now have a full episode description and some promotional images from this week’s exciting new episode, “The Evil Queen.”
Here is what we have to look forward to on Sunday:
“The Evil Queen” – With the aid of Hook, Regina attempts to put a plan in motion that will help transport herself and Henry back to Fairytale land. But her plan revolves around a fail-safe that was planted within the curse, which if triggered could wipe Storybrooke off the map – and kill all of its inhabitants; and Emma’s suspicions about Tamara grow. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, the Evil Queen asks Rumplestiltskin to transform her into an unrecognizable peasant in order to kill an unsuspecting Snow White, with the twisted aim of earning the love and respect of her subjects, on “Once Upon a Time,” SUNDAY, APRIL 28 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.
“Once Upon a Time” stars Ginnifer Goodwin as Snow White/Mary Margaret, Jennifer Morrison as Emma Swan, Lana Parrilla as Evil Queen/Regina, Josh Dallas as Prince Charming/David, Emilie de Ravin as Belle, Colin O’Donoghue as Hook, Jared S. Gilmore as Henry Mills, Meghan Ory as Red Riding Hood/Ruby, and Robert Carlyle as Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold.
Guest starring are Lee Arenberg as Leroy/Grumpy, Michael Raymond-James as Neal Cassidy, Ethan Embry as Greg Mendell, Sonequa Martin-Green as Tamara, Aleks Paunovic as Berkley, Michael Teigen as Rivers, Hrothgar Mathews as carny, Max Montesi as peasant boy, Bri Neal as peasant girl, William Phillips as peasant man, Jennifer J. Angeli as weaver and Harold Davies as fisherman.
“The Evil Queen” was written by Christine Boylan & Jane Espenson and directed by Gwyneth Horder-Payton.
Regina and Hook are teaming up again. As always, Hook’s true motives are cloaked in mystery. Earlier this season, a fairytale flashback revealed how Hook and Regina agreed to help each other get revenge. Hook was supposed to steal Cora’s heart and found a new, more useful ally instead. This time around, Hook’s word still cannot be trusted.
The images and two TV promos reveal that Tamara and Greg want to use Hook. Will their lethal Taser of Doom be enough to win Hook’s loyalty? Does Regina offer a better incentive for Hook’s allegiance?
Meanwhile, in the fairytale past, we finally get to see the Evil Queen’s notorious attempt to claim Snow White’s life with a poisoned apple presented in the guise of an elderly peasant.
What do you think of our first look? Where will Hook’s loyalties lie? Will he tell Regina about Tamara and Greg’s plan, hoping to gain more power by teaming with the Evil Queen? Could Hook surprise us all by pitting Tamara and Greg against Regina, while reaching out to Emma for some real help?
On a side note, some Oncers may also have a guilty pleasure moment they are anticipating to see. Given Lacey’s latest attraction to baddies, will we see a flirtatious encounter between the Belle of the bar and the cavalier Captain Hook? They both like their booze. Could Hook see this as another chance to steal away the woman Rumple loves and cause the Crocodile more heartache?
