It may not feel like it in many cities across the USA, but tomorrow is Major League Baseball’s Opening Day 2013! Hope springs eternal for every team in the league as everyone starts off at 0-0 and has hopes of a World Series title.
One of the events at every Opening Day is the ceremonial first pitch which is usually thrown by a former player, hometown hero or just some random celebrity who may be in town that day.
Either way, sometimes the Opening Day pitch can get more coverage than the game itself.
So who will be throwing out the first pitch in your hometown?
Well some of the names have been revealed for tomorrow’s games, but some teams won’t be opening up at home until this weekend or early next next week, but so far we have the inside dish on many of the ceremonial first pitch candidates for tomorrow’s action thanks to MLB.com.
In the only game going tonight, Sunday March 31, the Houston Astros and Texas Rangers will kick off the season and Houston Texans star JJ Watt will throw out the first pitch.
Here are a few of the ceremonial pitchers for tomorrow’s action. You can click here for a full list.
