Major League Baseball’s Francisco, “K-Rod,” Rodriguez set the all-time MLB single season saves record five years ago with 62. However, a day away from Apr. 1, 2013 and the 2013 season’s opening day he remains a free agent.
According to FoxSports.com reporter Ken Rosenthal’s sources he stated on his Twitter feed that K-Rod’s agent, Scott Boras, believes that the record setter will sign with someone really soon.
However, after a five month wait since the end of the season as a free agent, there has been little conversation surrounding the now 31-year-old closer and he is yet to have an offer on the table known to anyone in the media.
It is likely to take a few more weeks before someone makes the phone call to sign the one time record setter.
