Meet DC Comics artists Phil Jimenez and Stephen Sadowski this Friday at the Dallas Eagle. The two superstar artists will be on hand for a Free Comic Book Day Mixer sponsored by Zeus Comics and Geeks OUT! from 6p-9p. Expect to see a predominantly gay crowd, but all geeks and comic book lovers ages 21+ up are welcome. The mixer precedes Zeus Comics’ Free Comic Book Day event this Saturday and gives comic lovers a chance to rub elbows with two of the industry’s top talents. Jimenez has worked on titles such as Wonder Woman, New X-Men, and Infinite Crisis and was recently listed as one of Entertainment Weekly’s “101 Gay Movers and Shakers”. He’s also worked on DC/Vertigo’s Fairest, a fantasy-themed comic book that Sadowski, another hot DC artist, takes over in May. Sadowski counts on his resume an impressive body of work on titles like JSA, Hawkman and Firestorm.
After you’ve rubbed elbows with DC’s big boys, you’ll then thrill to a workout demonstration by the Eagle’s own rock-hard-body resident superhero, Troy Greger during this Friday’s installment of “PUMP!”. It’s live entertainment unlike anything you’ve ever seen! Plus, enjoy superhero themed cocktails, drink specials and house music by the Eagle’s DJ Enrique. Come by and get your geek on!
