Arrow (The CW, 8 p.m.) – “Darkness on the Edge of Town” – With the Undertaking days away, Malcolm (guest star John Barrowman) dons his black hood to conclude business with seismologist Dr. Brion Markov (guest star Eric Floyd) and his team. Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Moira (Susanna Thompson) entertain a number of surprise– and mostly unwelcome– visitors. Hooded confrontations at home and the Meryln Global Group reveal dark secrets. Meanwhile, Roy (guest star Colton Haynes) and Thea (Willa Holland) are still looking out for a hero. Laurel (Katie Cassidy) makes a decision after Tommy’s (Colin Donnell) revelation. In a flashback to the island, Oliver, Slade (guest star Manu Bennett) and Shado (guest star Celina Jade) struggle to prevent Fyers (guest star Sebastian Dunn) from shooting a Ferris Air jet out of the sky.
Modern Family (ABC, 9 p.m.) – “My Hero” – Mitch’s ex-boyfriend, a very personable and successful doctor, invites the whole family to a fundraising event at the local roller rink, and they all run circles around each other as Cam (Eric Stonestreet) tries to play it cool around him, Claire (Julie Bowen) avoids talking to Jay (Ed O’Neill) about inheriting his closet business, Phil (Ty Burrell) teaches Gloria (Sofia Vergara) how to skate in spectacular fashion, Haley (Sarah Hyland) helps Alex (Ariel Winter) talk to some cute boys, and amidst all the chaos Manny (Rico Rodriguez) and Luke (Nolan Gould) try to figure out whom they’ll pick in their family for their “My Hero” essay assignment.
Supernatural (The CW, 9 p.m.) – “Clip Show” – Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) reunite with Castiel (Misha Collins). Digging through the Men of Letters’ files, they stumble upon an undiscovered film which could be the key to the third trial.Metatron (guest star Curtis Armstrong) enlists Cass to mull over problems at home. Meanwhile, Crowley (guest star Mark Sheppard) digs into Sam and Dean’s past.
How to Live with Your Parents (for the Rest of Your Life) (ABC, 9:30 p.m.) – “How to Fix Up Your Ex” – With Polly (Sarah Chalke) now happily dating, Natalie (Rachel Eggleston) wants her dad to also have someone and guilts Polly into helping Julian (Jon Dore) find a girl. Meanwhile, Elaine (Elizabeth Perkins) and Max (Brad Garrett), who have always been unapologetic about who they are, realize they have to make some changes for the sake of Natalie.
Nashville (ABC, 10 p.m.) – “Why Don’t You Love Me?” – Rayna (Connie Britton) and Juliette (Hayden Panettiere) are both nominated for CMA Awards and Edgehill Records hosts a party in their honor. Meanwhile Teddy (Eric Close) worries about his relationship with his daughter; Juliette copes with new challenges; Scarlett (Clare Bowen) is concerned about Gunnar (Sam Palladio); and tension grows between him and Will (Chris McCormack).
