Michigan will look to make their return to the NCAA Final Four as they take on Florida on Easter Sunday Mar. 31, 2013 in the Elite Eight. One player that everyone should be watching to succeed for the Wolverines is forward Mitch McGary.
McGary has proven to be the team’s best low-post player of the tournament and his energy, toughness and commitment are hard to match.
Although he only scored more than 12 points a handful of times in the regular season, he has averaged 19.7 points per game and 12.3 rebounds while shooting 75.7 percent from the floor the entire NCAA Tournament.
His opposing counterpart from Florida will be equally mobile and strong forward Patrick Young. If McGary can win the battle up front he will help his team go a long way towards sending Michigan back to the Final Four for the first time since 1993.
