Florida will attempt to stifle Michigan’s bid to reach the NCAA Tournament Final Four for the first time since 1993 on Easter Sunday Mar. 31, 2013. Leading the defensive efforts for the Florida Gators will be Scottie Wilbekin.
Wilbekin was all over the place against Florida Gulf Coast in the Gators victory on Friday night as he helped to force his fellow Floridians into nine turnovers. The player likewise had been a thorn in the side of some of the nation’s best point guards all season long prior to the tournament.
Michigan’s Trey Burke is a contender for the National Player of the Year and Wilbekin will have his work cut out for him to make a difference on defense and help to trouble the Wolverines offense.
