LeAnn Rimes stuck her foot in her mouth again. This time the country singer revealed in a new interview with Fabulous magazine that Brandi Glanville’s sons call her mom.
For someone who continuously claims she doesn’t want to deal with drama, LeAnn Rimes creates situations for herself that are guaranteed to put her in the hot seat. After being in rehab for “emotional and anxiety issues”, Rimes latest comments are sure to infuriate Glanville.
LeAnn Rimes is the step mother of Glanville’s two sons, Mason, 9, and Jake, 5. Rimes had an affair with Glanville’s husband, Eddie Cibrian then married him once he divorced Brandi.
Rimes claims that the opinions her arch nemesis, the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star has voiced were difficult for her to deal with. She goes on to say that her Twitter war with Glanville has forced her to stand up for herself.
“It’s been really difficult. You have to stand up for yourself and be your own person, but at the same time you have to protect these children and their hearts. And that’s a very tough balance.”
When asked in the interview how Glanville’s young sons address her, LeAnn Rimes responded, “Lee. Sometimes they’ll blurt out ‘mom’ but I just go with whatever they call me. As long as it’s nice and respectful, I couldn’t care less.”
Before LeAnn made her latest comments regarding Brandi’s kids, Glanville said openly that she believed Rimes needed to learn boundaries. Brandi Glanville is sure to think Rimes has once again overstepped her bounds as a step-mother.
In a chat with OKmagazine.com, Glanville stated, “She just doesn’t have boundaries when it comes to my children.”
“And it upsets me because it was like that even when I was still married to Eddie and they were together she was tweeting things about them and texting me really horrible things such as ‘I love the boys. I can’t wait to make their lunches.’”
After throwing those comments out there, Rimes responded in her favorite medium, Twitter. She tweeted, “Supporting other step moms is not putting down bio moms. Some people seriously need to grow up.”
LeAnn Rimes spoke openly to Fabulous magazine about being Eddie Cibrian’s mistress before she became his wife. Fabulous asked her if she had any regrets from the cheating scandal.
Rimes replied, “I don’t like that word. Do I wish I handled it differently? Absolutely. No one wants to hurt anyone or put themselves through hurt.”
“I think the only other thing we could’ve done would have been to get out of our marriages before anything happened. It was tough and it all happened very fast.”
“I felt so ashamed and guilty.” If that’s how Rimes really feels, then you’d think she’d be more respectful and considerate to Brandi Glanville’s feelings towards her sons.
