Love him or hate him, Kid Rock knows how to put on an amazing concert. With the large stage setup and mass amounts of pyro you might expect a ticket to his show to be a bit pricey. Well think again.
Kid Rock already discounts his t-shirt prices at shows with tour shirts being only $20 (instead of the $30 plus you usually see). But this time he’s going a step further. The “$20 Best Nigh Ever” tour says it all in the name. All seats, reserved seats or lawn, are only $20. Not enough? How about this – buy your ticket at Walmart and get a $20 all-in ticket. That means no fees, no parking charges, nothing else tacked on. $20 and you’re in. Plus the first two rows of every show are being reserved for lucky fans picked at random to get an upgrade. But it keeps getting better! Special $4 draught beers, value food packages, cheaper parking (where possible), free samples of Jimmy John’s sandwiches at select venues, and free coffee at the end of the show.
And why is he doing this? Says Kid Rock, “Everyone knows the economy is still hurting people across the country, but I didn’t want that to be a reason why everyone couldn’t get out and enjoy themselves on a summer night. So we’re going to throw the biggest and best party ever, with prices across the board that are reasonable and transparent. No hidden fees, no gimmicks. We’re not sparing any expense on this tour, we’re going over the top as always, but that doesn’t mean we’re going to ask the fans to pay more. If this works we’re going to play to packed houses of fans who appreciate what we’re doing. If it doesn’t, might be a long summer. But someone has to go out there and fight these high prices and change things up, and I’m lucky enough that I can afford to take a pay cut. $20. Best night ever.”
Kid Rock is touring in support of his 10th album, Rebel Soul, with bands Kool & The Gang, ZZ Top and Uncle Kracker to support on select dates. He’ll be hitting Dallas on July 20th at Gexa Energy Pavilion.
