Actress Justine Wachsberger has confirmed her attachment to Summit Entertainment’s book-to-screen adaptation of “Divergent.”
Wachsberger first tweeted of her involvement with the movie on Friday evening, writing “Love fittings! #divergent #dauntless.” After being prompted by followers for more details about her character, Wachsberger added, “Don’t want to keep you guessing any longer… #Lauren.”
“Divergent” fans might remember Lauren as the Dauntless faction member which trains non-transfer initiates and which offered up her own fear landscape for all initiates to practice with. Lauren’s set of fears included bleeding, kidnapping, being run over by a train and spiders, among other things.
Wachsberger, the niece of Lionsgate co-chair Patrick Wachsberger, appeared in “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” as Gianna and also appeared in fellow YA adaptation “Beautiful Creatures.”
“Thanks for the warm welcome! You guys rock!” she later tweeted after being greeted with a multitude of welcoming notes from the fanbase.
