It’s that time again, the time when the Disneyland Resort will keep three of it’s thyme parks open for 24 hours. On May 24 Disneyland, Disney’s California Adventure in Anaheim , and the Magic in Anaheim, will open at 6 a.m.on May 24 and stay open until 6 a.m. on May 25. Come on out and join the all night party, that starts Memorial Day weekend, leading to the fun days of summer.
Prepare to spend the next 24 hours awake as you enjoy
1. the Pixar Play Parade with characters from the different films coming to life before your eyes snd the new Monsters University float leading the way. Visit Hollywood Land where the golden age of Hollywood and the magic of Disney movies are celebrated. You can catch them both in the California Adventure in Anaheim
2. in Fantasy Faire, the new Royal Theater, will be transformed into a music hall with live bands for dancing the night away; the charming shops sell all kinds of unique gifts, the tangled stone tower in the middle of the square is a great background for photos especially if one of the Disney princesses can be caught in the shot.
3. blast off from Space station 77 in Tomorrowland, visit the Jedi Training Academy and prepare for an encounter with the ‘dark side of the Force’, or check out the entertainment.
4. scurry up the spiral staircase in the giant Redwood tree at Chip n’ Dale, the nuttiest twosome in Mickey’s Toontown, are having a party and kids of all ages are invited. Stay as long as you like it’s an all night party.
Ride the monorail that rockets across a single rail around the Disneyland Resort, board at Tomorrowland and ride it to the Downtown Disney District where the lively promenade offers unique shopping, dining and a lively entertainment scene. Downtown Disney is outside the park, but adjacent to the hotels of the Disneyland Resort, it stays open eveyday until late at night.
Staying at a Disneyland Resort Hotel gives guests the edge of early admission to Disneyland park which will be handy for this 24 hour period. Each of the three Disneyland Resort Hotels have their own special attractions, tropical dining is most enjoyable amid the inspired theme of Disney’s Adventureland at the 4 star Disneyland Hotel; a convenient and quick walk from the Grand California Hotel & Spa to the Disney California Adventure Park is a plus for guests; while the scenic rooftop pool and waterslide at the Disney Paradise Pier Hotel is a great place to relax after a day at the Park.
