According to a March 31 report from Fightline, Invicta FC is inching closer to landing a television deal.
Nothing in confirmed, but Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp believes 2013 is the year the promotion will find a television partner to work with.
“I think we’re going to surprise a lot of people in 2013,” said Knapp to MMA Fighting. “Nothing is concrete. Something could fall through. But there are a lot of good things happening with Invicta and a partnership. I feel confident 2013 is the year we’ll find our home.
“We’re having a lot of dialogue with a lot of people. There hasn’t been the deal yet that I wanted and what I’m looking for. I’m looking for a partner, not someone who says you can be one of a number of shows on Friday night. You want someone to help with the vision and take an interest in promoting it, not be one of many companies on the station.”
One thing that’s for sure is that if Invicta FC lands a deal, they have a true star on its hands with “Rowdy” Bec Hyatt.
The 24-year-old Hyatt has quickly made a name for herself as one of the most marketable young stars of women’s MMA, due to her tireless efforts in promoting herself across all social media platforms, along with her serious striking skills inside the cage.
After months of promoting herself, Hyatt finally has some merchandise for fans to purchase to show their support.
“Just landed in Sydney to find my Americana MMA signature shirts are now available to pre-order :) How bad ass are these freaking shirts?? Pricing is only $22.00 but don’t forget to use the code ROWDY10 for 10% off!! Pre-order link is below,” Hyatt tweeted.
