May has been officially declared as the “Interviewing the Indies” month. As such, all month there will be posts containing interviews with indie authors. Today’s guest is Steven Donahue, author of Amanda Rio.
What do you have published?
Amanda Rio. This general fiction novel examines domestic violence and one woman’s efforts to repair her violent relationship with her husband.
What are you currently working on?
I have two indie books coming out in 2013. The YA science-fiction novel Amy the Astronaut and the Flight for Freedom, and an adult fiction mystery The Manila Strangler.
How do you stay motivated?
I set a writing goal and then I lock myself in our spare bedroom and work until I’m finished.
What has been the most challenging aspect of being an indie author?
Finding a legitimate literary agent or an interested publisher.
As a writer, what is the one thing you cannot live without? Why?
My laptop. I couldn’t go back to writing on an electric typewriter (even if I could find one).
You can purchase any of the Indie Adult Books from amazon. Stay tuned for more Interviewing the Indies, happening all May long!
