Da Vinci is no stranger to conferences, press, and providing training for those seeking to expand their knowledge of business in the area of entrepreneurial writing. She understands how to work with professionals and also how to train new entrepreneurs to work in the professional world.
She has taken this knowledge and applied it toward an innovative conference that will be held online. It is called The Blog Workshop and may be attended entirely online, from the comfort of one’s home. It is happening in May, just a few weeks away from now. The advantage is that there are significant cost savings that would normally be spent on travel, lodging, and restaurant food. Also, when it is difficult to get away from one’s schedule, this conference allows the balancing of creative and busy schedules.
Even though this conference is online, it still provides the benefits that would be expected in a brick and mortar conference, with a social kick-off networking party, prizes, sponsors, and even supporting a charity. The conference is structured similarly to what is experienced in offline conferences, but available via your computer and internet.
This is something that is becoming more popular, online, especially with economic challenges. Earlier this year, the Indie Connect team put on the Indie Connect Virtual Music Conference and they will be planning another one, for songwriters, later this year.
There are many webinars, hangouts, teleseminars, and now workshops and conferences. Online conferences are sure to head toward “old news” and common throughout the globe, in months and years to come.
