Just in time for things to start heating up in DFW, Hydrous Wake Parks is ready to cool off excitement-seekers. Located in Allen, Allen Station Park is a 109 acre park that is home to the Edge skateboard park which includes two outdoor hockey rinks and a BMX track. The park also includes 9 baseball and softball fields a family play ground and connection to the bike trail.
Just in time for the official beginning of summer, this Monday, June 24th, Hydrous Wake Parks will be opening a new location in Little Elm on Lake Lewisville.
Hydrous’ has two cable systems, one for beginners and one for the skilled and courageous that has the first pipe rail and only quarter pipe in the world. At about 18 mph, riders can switch it up between skiing, kneeboarding and wakeboarding, six at a time.
A beginner package includes a 2 hour cable pass and rental of equipment for $35. Kids pay $50 for all day and adults $55. A one hour 2.0 beginner class is recommendable to for first timers and only costs $25. Bulk packages available include a 10 pack of passes with no rental equipment for $200 (10 two hour cable passes), or $265 for the same passes with rental equipment. Season passes can be bought for $1,200. Private lessons and birthday parties can also be arranged.
Hours are Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., Saturdays from noon to dusk and Sundays from noon to 6 p.m. Summer pizza hours for those energy-deprived appetites will last throughout the day.
