A hiker was found alive after spending six nights alone out on a mountain. She was feared dead. On March 31, Christian Post reported that she was luckily found just fine. Mary Owen, who is 23-years-old, was on a vacation hike on Mt. Hood.
They found her just below the mountain’s Sandy Glacier. They were glad to be able to find her because they were expecting the worst. After six nights, they did not really think that she stood a chance of being find alive.
An Army National Guard helicopter took her to a nearby hospital to take care of her and have her checked out. She has a leg injury and frostbite. Other than that, she is doing just fine and they think she will make a full recovery. Mary is very lucky to be in the shape that she is in after her ordeal.
Would this keep you from vacationing on Mt. Hood for a hike or would you just make sure you take someone along with you? Sound off in the comments.
