NASCAR visits Talladega, Alabama for the Aaron’s 499 weekend, Friday through Sunday, May 3rd through 5th at Talladega Superspeedway. Also on the racing schedule for the weekend are the Nationwide Series and the ARCA Racing Series.
On Friday, May 3rd, fans on the infield can take part in the ARCA Fan Walk from noon to 1 p.m. CT in the ARCA garage area. There will also be a Nationwide Series autograph session from 1:45 to 2:30 p.m. CT in the Concourse area behind the OV Hill South grandstands sections D & E; wristbands for the autograph session can be picked up at Guest Services, located near OV Hill South grandstands section L.
Country star Chris Young will perform in the infield on Saturday night, May 4th; all Sunday ticketholders or infield ticketholders get free admission to the show.
Those who have tickets for Sunday’s race can upgrade to the Talladega Experience for $145 plus the cost of a Frontstretch Grandstand or Tower ticket. Fans receive food and beverages, a pre-race pit pass, and exclusive driver Q & A sessions, this year with Dale Earnhardt Jr., Brad Keselowski , Jeff Burton and Bobby Labonte.
Friday action includes Nationwide qualifying, Sprint Cup practice and the ARCA Racing Series 250 at 4 p.m. CT. Saturday will feature Sprint Cup qualifying and the Nationwide Series’ Aaron’s 312 at 2 p.m. CT. The Aaron’s 499 Sprint Cup race takes the green flag at noon CT on Sunday.
