FRESHING UP FOR THE FLOCK – It’s time for Spring cleaning at the Gabriel Foundation’s aviary in Elizabeth and volunteers are being sought on April 27 from 9 a.m to 3 p.m.
The crew will be working on the outdoor aviaries and raking up/re-filling the rocks, weeding, giving the birds new toys and perches. Safe and fun flights provide environnmental enrichment for the birds and they are looking forward to spending more time outdoors as the weather gets nicer.
You do NOT need to be an official Gabriel Foundation volunteer; bring your family and friends. Lunch will be provided and there will be a raffle at the end of the day. RSVP to email@example.com (email address)
PUPPY LOVE – Colorado Puppy Rescue wiil have puppies for adoption Saturday, April 20 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (or until all of the puppies are adopted) at the Petco store at I-25 and Colorado Boulevard.

STRUT FOR MAXFUND – After a one-year hiatus, the Lucky Mutt Strut, a 5k fun run and walk to benefit MaxFund, is back. This year, it will be at Cheesman Park on May 11. EARTH DAY ADOPTIONS – The Evergreen Animal Protectiive League will have animals for adoption on Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the 24th Annual Mountain Area Earth Day Fair. The League will have an adoption booth at the Evergreen Lake House, 29614 Upper Bear Creek Road.
