Tonight, March 31, 2013 is the final episode of “The Bible” by producers Roma Downey and Mark Burnett. Watch it on the History Channel at 8pm till 10pm.
On Good Friday we had The Crucifixion of the son of God. He died and was buried in a tomb. But on the third day as was prophesied he arose from the grave early on Sunday morning.
The last episode is titled “Passion.” Easter Sunday or Resurrection Sunday is titled as such for the resurrection of Jesus from the dead on the first day of the week. Jesus’ resurrection sparks a new movement of faith amongst the believers. The last episode depicts the disciple’s teachings that followed.
In the book of John it says, “But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in him you will have life by the power of his name.”
This miniseries gives an epic view of the life and ministry of Jesus with His disciples. He taught them hands-on to continue His mission and for the building-up of the body of believers. The Great Commission was given to the disciples and to all believers to carry on the work of Christ upon His ascension into heaven.
May all who watch be encouraged in the Truth of Jesus Christ our Lord.
