Disney star and DWTS contestant Zendaya has shared the secret to her shiny, flowing waves for the music video “Contagious Love”, or at least her celebrity hairstylist, Araxi Lindsey has.
Disney television star and new music sensation, Zendaya, was recently announced as one of the celebrity contestants for Season 16 of “Dancing With the Stars”, premiering March 18th on ABC. Before she gears up for her DWTS debut, her celebrity hairstylist, Araxi Lindsey, who recently coiffed the teen star of the hit Disney TV series “Shake It Up”, has provided the Hair and Nails Examiner with a celebrity hairstyle guide on how to create Zendaya’s sea of loose waves for the show’s music video “Contagious Love” alongside Bella Thorne from the series soundtrack released last week.
According to Zendaya’s celebrity hairstylist, Araxi Lindsey, the Disney star has “naturally amazing hair. She loves movement and easy flowing tresses.” To create her celebrity hairstyle for the music video, Araxi has outlined the steps below, using the favorite onset products from “Dancing With the Stars”, White Sands Hair Care.
- To enhance her beauty, I first applied White Sands Orchids Oil to smooth Zendaya’s tresses. Orchids Oil is not heavy or greasy. It’s a lightweight smoothing serum that smells amazing.
- Next, I sectioned her hair in two and began flat ironing with a one-inch ceramic iron. I usually take small sections and run the flat iron twice from the roots to the ends of her hair.
- Then, I took small rectangular sections of her hair and put curves on the ends using just the iron.
- Finally, I sprayed the crown of her hair with White Sands Stuck Up Mega Hold Hairspray to keep fly-aways in place. This hairspray is a perfect styling tool for a light all day finishing hold. Zendaya’s hair was able to keep movement and body for a full 10-hour day of dancing, singing and acting.
