Color Me Rad road race was held in Greensboro NC on March 30, 2013. Around 8500 runners, walkers and pushers (strollers) gathered early Saturday morning at Greensboro Coliseum to participate in a 5K, 3K run charity event. Runners of all ages joined in the fun. Starting from the coliseum parking lot and weaving their way around the adjoining neighborhood streets.
During the race the runners will pass various check points. While passing these check points, 10 to 15 volunteers wait for them armed and ready with color bombs. The runners pass by them wearing their white shirts inviting the vibrant colored starch. Some of the runners noticed they did not get bombed and went back down the gauntlet for more color. By noon all the runners had completed the coarse and gathered back at the coliseum parking lot.
Color Me Rad has many stops across the US and each event promises fun all for a good cause. Check their website for an upcoming event near you:
