This Friday, May 3rd at Mayday in the Cincinnati neighborhood of Northside, the Cincinnati Rollergirls are putting on the inaugural Rock and Rollergirls fundraiser. A night of rock music and fundraising fun.
Playing live for your musical entertainment is The End of the Ocean (instrumental post-rock from Columbus) and Valley of the Sun (rock from Cincinnati). There will also be live art from one of the premier art groups in the city, Ghost Empire Collective.
Retrocentric photo booth will be on hand taking photos of guests. Retrocentric specializes in pin-up photos, definitely check out their work online.
Cincinnati Rollergirl merchandise will also be avialble for purchase. T-shirts, hats, stickers, posters-all things that you should be wearing or sporting on your laptop or car.
And what CRG event would be complete without raffle prizes? Prizes for Friday include a free week of summer camp at Imago, gift cards and gift baskets from several local businesses, like Blink, The Listing Loon, Northside Surplus, Bill’s Barber Shop, Barrio Tequileria, Everybody’s Records, Elizabeth’s Closet, Southpaw Prints and Atomic No. 10.
Come out, listen to some music, witness some on-the-spot art and support your local roller derby league. Have a beer or two as well.
Admission is free, and the money raised for raffle ticket and merchandise sales will go to support the Cincinnati Rollergirls.

The Cincinnati Rollergirls are riding high on a 5 game winning streak right now after taking down Killamazoo last Saturday at the Cincinnati Gardens 322-213. Your next opportunity to see the Violent Lambs and Black Sheep in action is next Saturday, May 11 at the Cincinnati Gardens when they host Dire Skates and Toronto in double-header action. This will be the first international bout hosted by the Cincinnati Rollergirls.
May 11 is also ‘Scout Night’
A $1,000 donation from the Cincinnati Rollergirls to the largest scouting group that attends the game! To qualify for the donation, click here to download our group sales form and turn it into the Gardens with payment by Wednesday, May 8, 2013.Please write the name of your scouting organization in the “announce our group” area of the form. Your group must include at least 25 people, which may include family members and friends of scouts. NOTE: Children younger than 7 do NOT have to pay admission, but please note how many of them will be attending somewhere on the form so they can be counted with your group.
