You can enjoy a family-friendly weekend getaway and get a jump on the Summer season when you attend Coshocton, Ohio’s annual Taste For Summer Festival being held on Saturday, May 18. It is approximately a 2.5 hour drive from Cleveland to Coshocton.
Taste For Summer Festival Being held at Clary Gardens, this Summer wine & barbeque event gives visitors the chance to start celebrating the Summer festival season a tad early and to enjoy some great regional wines and some mouth-watering ribs.
The Festival will feature wine tasting from 9 wineries (including Raven’s Glenn Winery, Shawnee Springs Winery and Yellow Butterfly Winery (owned by former Cleveland mayor Mike White) in addition to two breweries showcasing their craft beers and two barbeque vendors (The Depot Restaurant & Smokehouse in Dresden and The Point Restaurant in Cambridge) offering their delectable products.
Other activities at Taste For Summer include grape stomping, a craft show, a live auction and a free stagecoach ride to nearby historic Roscoe Village (where you can tour the Village and do some shopping). There will also be live musical entertainment all day.
Hours for the Taste For Summer event are 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Admission is $5. Wine tasting tickets are $10 per person and the ticket includes 10 tastings and a souvenir wine glass.
