Westbound International Speedway Boulevard west of Daytona Beach will be closed at times Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, April 2 and 3, as road work continues in that area. April Heller with the Florida Department of Transportation says westbound lanes will be closed intermittently starting at 8 Tuesday night until 6 Wednesday morning at the Tomoka River Bridge, west of Tomoka Farms Road in Daytona Beach. The lane closures are needed while the project contractor, Superior Construction, makes repairs to the bridge. Plans are for the westbound lanes of the road to be shut down for several minutes at a time throughout the night.
The Florida Department of Transportation urges motorists in the work area to “…slow down, obey the posted speed limit, and drive with extreme caution through the work zone.”
