The Daily Beast reported on April 30 that the season 5 finale of “Breaking Bad” will be “victorious,” according to showrunner Vince Gilligan. This season will be the last and fans are hoping it will be one that cannot be forgotten.
The final eight episodes will begin airing on August 11 and the showrunner said,
“Anyone anxious that there won’t be resolution enough at the end of these eight episodes can rest assured that the story very much reaches resolution. It will not end in any kind of open-ended sense.”
Vince Gilligan wanted to say something that would get fans anxious, but at the same time did not want to give anything away. He said that he is surprised by how victorious the ending feels.
He also revealed,
“I was very nervous for the last year that we didn’t have an interesting enough way to wrap up Breaking Bad. I have to say that we were in the woods for a long time with these final eight episodes. Creatively, I felt like I couldn’t see the forest for the trees, and I was sort of trying to hack my way through the jungle of this story.”
But they have found a way to make the “Breaking Bad” season 5 finale “satisfying” and says he is very proud of the final eight episodes.
So what exactly does “victorious” mean? There are so many theories and fans are speculating all kinds of possibilities. However the show ends, it sounds like it is going to go out with a bang.
