This Month in April: Race season is starting to pick up with the warmer weather of spring. Give back to the Open Space you love by volunteering this month in Boulder, Colorado.
Meet up with old and new friends alike at these weekly fun runs. Each group offers flexibility in the distance and pace of the group run and often times finish with tasty food and drinks.
- Mondays: 6pm Fleet Feet Sports Boulder
- Wednesdays: 5:30pm at Runners Roost Louisville or 6pm at the Boulder Running Company
- Saturdays – 8am Runners Roost Louisville, Breakfast Running Club, Boulder Track Club at Rally Sport (every 2nd Saturday)
- Also on Saturdays, join the folks at Newton Running for their Natural Running Form Clinic at 10am
- Sundays: Boulder Road Runners
Boulder Spring Half Marathon, 10 and 5 mile
Sunday April 7 – 9 a.m.
The Boulder Spring Half marathon is the spring sister race to the Fall Boulder Marathon held at the Boulder Reservoir. The five mile race will also serve as the USATF CO 5mi Championships.

Earth Day 5K for the Center for ReSource Conservation

Join in an Earth Day celebration of a healthy earth and healthy living in “Boulder’s Greenest 5k”. Bring your kids to participate in the free Green Kids Run.

BolderBoulder Store Opens
Monday April 1, 10 a.m.
The BolderBoulder store opens up its doors in the 29th Street Mall where you can register for the Memorial day race, qualify for top waves on a treadmill and purchase logo merchandise. They will be also offering special giveaways and deals all week long.
Come help maintain the trails you love riding and hiking in Boulder County.
Trail maintenance at Betasso Preserve
April 6, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Volunteers will use tools to enhance existing drainage structures and construct new ones on the Betasso Link Trail. This project is from 9:00am-12:00pm. Minimum age is 14 with adult supervision. Thanks to Pearl Izumi for supporting this project by contributing mountain bike gear to project volunteers!
Forestry project at Heil Valley Ranch
April 13, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Boulder County Parks and Open Space has worked at Heil Valley Ranch over the last few years thinning forests to decrease wildfire danger while restoring forest ecosystems. Volunteers will spread locally collected native seed to re-vegetate disturbed areas such as roadsides and slash pile burn scars. This project runs from 9:00am-1:00pm. Minimum age is 12 with adult supervision.

Spring Trail Running Camp
