This Sunday is the Easter holiday. However, as the story goes, people all over the world celebrated the night before with board games. This international holiday was celebrated for the first time on Saturday and, therefore, dubbed TableTop Day by YouTube premiere channel, Geek and Sundry.
One of the thousands of stores taking part in the festivities was Battleground Games & Hobbies in Abington, MA.
There were almost fifty gamers of all ages on hand for the event. The store and volunteers provided games for anyone to play. Some of the games on hand included: Smash Up, Tsuro, The Red Dradon Inn, King of Tokyo, and Zombicide. Also on hand were indie developers Zephyr Workshop showcasing their new game titled “Project A.E.G.I.S.”
Table Top Day was fairly successful at the Abington location of Battleground Games & Hobbies. With that success, the store is now considering holding similar, smaller, events during their Saturday schedule. A full list of events and other information can be found on their website.
