Amanda Bynes has shaved half of her head after a New York salon allegedly damaged her hair from dying it platinum blonde. She displayed her new celebrity hairstyle on Twitter Thursday, April 25.
Almost 24 hours ago, Amanda Bynes showed the world her new celebrity hairstyle via Twitter to rave fan reviews.
I buzzed half my head like @cassie! No more old photos! This is the new me! I love it! http://twitpic.com/clx36u
Apparently, Bynes announced the shaven head to E Online via Twitter on April 13, explaining that a hairstylist from John Barret Salon in New York allegedly damaged her hair dying it platinum blonde.
@eonline please post my pics anytime! I had to shave my head because of hair damage from someone @ John Barrett so I’m not loving my paparazzi pics for a few years! I have extensions but you can see them! Loving your shows but suing you for spreading lies about me on your website! Thanks for being my fan! True friends don’t spread lies about me so I can’t follow anyone from your network on twitter. I’ll sue you everytime you post a lie with a paparazzi shot, I tell you everything that is going on about me on twitter. Only choose the paparazzi pics that I select and post on twitter and my personal pics when talking about me! I tweet all day about nothing just like everybody on the face of the earth! Thanks!
I love my hair this way! This is before a hair stylist @ John Barrett FRIED my hair with bleach then lied2 Intouch http://twitpic.com/ci494c
Bleaching hair is a delicate process and due to the excessive amount of hair coloring and hairstyle changes celebrities have to undergo for parts and appearances, damage to the hair is most certainly bound to happen, however for the amount of money Amanda Bynes surely paid, severe damage that caused her to shave it off should not have occurred.
The 27-year-old actress is not the first celebrity to rock out a shaved head, think Miley Cyrus, Cassie and Rihanna, but she may be the first to call out a salon on Twitter.
For those readers thinking of doing color at home, especially with bleach, take Amanda Bynes’ hair color disaster as an example. If a professional salon can damage the hair dying it a platinum color, imagine the problems that would arise when an unlicensed stylist attempts at-home hair coloring with bleach. Then you are stuck cutting it all off. Thankfully, Amanda Bynes has a cute face and can pull off any look.
